Pick the right natural skincare items to avoid tanning disaster

Now is the perfect time of year to buy some fake tan and brighten up the winter, but ladies should make sure that they do not fall foul of problems.

Alice Hart-Davis, writing for the Daily Mail, said that common tanning issues include doing one leg twice and not the other, not applying the natural skincare product under the chin and forgetting to do feet when tanning legs.

The expert said that picking the right shade is the first hurdle, urging people to select natural skincare items which will not go too dark.

Fake tanning expert Nichola Joss told the newspaper that preparation is the key to getting a smooth, seamless look. She also urged first-timers to use a daily or gradual tanner, to build it up gently.

The newspaper added: 'Experts advise starting with your face, then moving down the body, remembering which bits you have done as you go.'

Other top tips included using exfoliating natural skincare products before applying the fake tan and not waxing 24 hours before application.ADNFCR-2885-ID-19603082-ADNFCR
