'The shag will be big' and needs few natural hair care products

Ladies wanting a new haircut which requires minimal natural hair care products should opt for a shag look, which one expert said is big this year.

Jules Holland, creative director at Mark Hill Salon, said that Victoria Beckham started the craze with her variation on the bob and was promptly followed by a number of celeb ladies. Elle magazine has also tipped it to be big this year.

He said that the look is set to replace the graduated bob and is a 'brilliant mid-length haircut'.

'One of the beauties of having hair that length is that there is a variation that suits every single face shape and that's what makes it such a popular haircut,' Mr Holland added.

Ladies wanting the look will find it easy to maintain with natural hair care products, as the expert said that de-frizz or shine spray should be used on the ends of hair followed by straightening irons. He said that this gets the ends to 'chop out'.

Mr Holland added that people can use natural hair care products like wax to smooth out the ends.ADNFCR-2885-ID-19597675-ADNFCR
