The former women's magazine editor said that the look is versatile, while makeup expert Vanesa Guallar told the newspaper that it can work with a variety of colours, adding that 'the options are endless'.
Ms Guallar suggested using a base coat from your natural cosmetics collection and then painting the outline of the central section before filling it in.
'Rich, dark shades are stunning with this look so try a deep red,' the expert said, adding that a plum purple colour is also on trend.
