Emerald shades were used by make-up artist Pat McGrath for the Issa spring 2010 show and Elle magazine has predicted that green eyes could now become a popular look in the coming months.
This follows a similar prediction by celebrity makeup artist Oonagh Connor. She recently told the Daily Mail that bright eye shadow is popular at the moment and recommended that women use three different shades to create a striking look.
For the Issa show, Ms McGrath combined emerald and grey shadows with a soft black liner pencil to create a sexy, smouldering look. Women may therefore want to invest in these natural makeup items to create the effect.
'Vibrant shadows look great with black,' she explained to Elle.
She then finished the look with a touch of gold in the inner corners of the eyes and a dab of turquoise at the outer edges. Ms McGrath also used 'lots of mascara', a product which is bound to be in a woman's natural cosmetics bag already.
Otherwise, the models faces were kept fairly bare with nude lips and a peachy-orange blush.
