Marilyn Monroe-inspired natural makeup to become trend?

Marilyn Monroe-inspired natural makeup to become trend?
Beauty icons don't come much bigger than Marilyn Monroe and the actress is once again inspiring the latest makeup trends.

The Tuleh spring 2010 show featured natural makeup with a Marilyn-esque twist.

Polly Osmond was the woman behind the looks. She told Elle magazine: 'It's almost as a teenager would interpret a Marilyn look.'

The models were given bubble-gum pink cheeks, eyes and lips.

Ms Osmond told the magazine that she used a light foundation and dusted
translucent powder over skin for a matte finish.

She then swept blush over the apples of the cheeks, and added concealer to pink lipstick to make it thicker and paler, which she applied lightly to the lips.

'We did Marilyn-like eyeliner in brown instead of black so that it's not so heavy,' Ms Osmond added.

The Marilyn Monroe look follows a current trend for very feminine styles. Makeup artist Doug Atkinson recently told The Sudbury Star the spring is seeing fresher and softer natural makeup.
