Tinted moisturiser 'a light and easy alternative'

Tinted moisturiser
Tinted moisturiser is a light and easy alternative to foundation for the summer, according to an expert.

Rachel Haud, writing for Canwest News Service, said that the product is fast and efficient in the morning, so anyone who prefers natural makeup may want to get their hands on a tinted moisturiser.

'Conversely, if you want a full-finish makeup application that you won't have to touch all day, a heavier oil-based [foundation] is best,' she explained.

When choosing a foundation you may want to go for one with essential oils and antioxidants. Nicole Kidman's make-up artist Ashley Ward told Fabulous magazine that these create a shield against environmental damage.

Foundation needs to be combined with concealer, so this is another product that women should have in their natural makeup bag.

Makeup artist Liz Robertson told the news provider that women should use a creamy concealer for under-eye darkness.

A drier product is best for covering up a blemish, she added, recommending that women apply the product using a brush in both cases.
