Use natural hair styling to create flattering volume

Use natural hair styling to create flattering volume
This season's hair trends are all about texture but volume needn't always go upwards, there are flattering alternatives.

Look magazine recommended that you try creating volume outwards, working on your mid-lengths and ends instead, which flatters the face.

Start by back-brushing from the ends using a bristle brush and then use natural hair styling products to retain the volume.

Spritz all over with hairspray to make sure the style stays big and then take the top section of hair and smooth back with the bristle brush to get a shiny, flat finish.

This should then be tied in a mini ponytail at the back of the head, according to the magazine.

'Pull out the roots at your temples to get some serious width at the top and fluff up the ends by scrunching in your hands,' Look advised.

Finish with some more hairspray to hold the style in place throughout the day.

One way to inject volume into your locks is to blow dry them with your head upside down, Trichologist Philip Kingsley has told the Daily Mail.
