Block colour is this summer's top hair trend

Block colour is this summer
Women should be investing in natural hair dyes which will give them a bold, uniform colour, as this is the trend of the moment.

Emma Smith, writing for Stylist magazine, said that the 'resounding message for your locks on the catwalk for spring/summer was that block colour is well and truly in'.

This year's trends will not be marked by 'subtle flashes of colour', but will follow the likes of Lanvin, where models wore graphic black wigs, Ms Smith said.

She said that celebrities like Carey Mulligan should also prove inspiration to anyone using natural hair dyes, as her peroxide-blonde pixie cut was a more workable version of the runway look.

'The good news is this amped-up colour trend looks good on pretty much everyone,' Ms Smith added.

Another shade which is proving popular for hair at the moment is red, with the likes of Doctor Who's Karen Gillan and singer Florence Welch championing auburn locks.
