How to wear coral natural lipstick for work

How to wear coral natural lipstick for work

Since many of us spend most of our time at work, it's desirable to take some makeup trends to the office.

Obviously it would be inappropriate to wear bright natural makeup in the workplace, but Amy Verner, writing for the Globe and Mail, said there are some trends that fall into the grey area between work and play.

This spring, it is the orange lip, she said. The coral pout has already been seen on the catwalks, with the likes of Proenza Schouler and Prada, and has been taken up by plenty of celebrities as well.

Ms Verner said you may want to tone it down for the office a bit, opting for cantaloupe or papaya hues for your natural lipstick rather than all-out orange.

'Whatever shade or finish you choose, keep all other makeup to a minimum, except perhaps for a dusting of bronzer to play up the sun-kissed glow,' she advised.

To make the most of your lips you may want to take advice from Napoleon Perdis, who told the Huffington Post that dabbing a light shade of concealer on the outer corners of the mouth creates a lifting effect to make it look like you're smiling all the time.
