Natural makeup master-class: The smudged look

Natural makeup master-class: The smudged look
Posted by Alison Paquette

Women have been told that the smudged look is now on trend – swap smart edges for blurry ones with your natural makeup to go for a softer, more natural look.

Rissa Mananquil, writing for Philstar.com, told natural makeup fans that liquid liners are out the window and kohl blurred edges are very much in, something which will be good news for women with shaky hands.

'Always smudge those lines. They should be undetectable. Smudging is a good way to camouflage your mistakes if the lines you drew weren't that neat,' she said.

Ms Mananquil suggested using a brush or sponge applicator or, for a softer look, she recommended touching the edges with a cotton wool bud and to top off the look with lashings of mascara, as this negates the need for eye shadow.

Women fancying a new take on the iconic smokey eye trend should follow in the footsteps of Twilight's Kristen Stewart and incorporate red and black into your natural makeup.
