Natural skincare tips: Prevent break-outs

Natural skincare tips: Prevent break-outs

Managing our natural skincare routine can sometimes seem faffy, but according to the British Association of Dermatologists, looking after our face is, in fact, very important.

Nina Goad of the British Association of Dermatologists, said acne affects 80 to 90 per cent of adolescents in the UK, while 14 per cent of women aged between 26 and 44 suffer from facial acne.

So what tips are there to ensure you're treating skin in the best possible way?

One of Ms Goad's recommendations for your natural skincare routine includes watching what you eat: 'A healthy, balanced diet including plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as adequate water intake will help to support the body generally, including its largest organ – the skin'.

She also added that alcohol can worsen some people's skin problems, as can smoking, which ages the skin and increases the chance of suffering from acne fourfold.

According to a press release from the British Association of Dermatologists, when it comes to thinking about their bodies, Brits are six times more likely to worry more about putting on weight (42 per cent) than natural skincare issues (seven per cent).ADNFCR-2885-ID-19877935-ADNFCR
