Organic hair styling: Women have 104 hairstyles in their lifetimes

Organic hair styling: Women have 104 hairstyles in their lifetimes
Researchers have found that a woman will have her hair changed through natural hair styling on 104 different occasions in her lifetime.

The statistics were revealed in a survey of 3,000 women commissioned by award-winning hairdresser Andrew Collinge and were based on women changing their hair twice a year from the ages of 13 to 65.

The study also showed that 44 per cent of women changed their hair style or colour because they were bored, while 61 per cent of respondents said they 'just wanted a change'.

Self-image played a big part in the results of the survey, with 25 per cent of women wanting a change in order to 'reinvent' themselves, while 38 per cent did it to feel more confident. Milestones were also a catalyst for change, with 16 per cent getting a new cut to mark a birthday and 15 per cent changing or colouring their hair after having a baby.

Colour is officially on-trend for summer, according to The Collective Review. This applies to eye shadow, lips and other natural cosmetics. Women should be considering creamy blues, violets, soft pinks and baby greens.
