Ensure your cut enhances your natural hair dye shade

Natural hair dye shades should be enhanced by the style of the hair.

Women considering making a natural hair dye change ready for the autumn and winter months have been offered some tips by the top beauty gurus.

If you decide to opt for a cut to enhance your latest dabble with natural hair dyes, then the advice is to communicate with your hairdresser, otherwise it could all end in tears.

Bonnie McCarthy, writing for WalletPop, spoke to some of the top US hair stylists about the best way to get what you want, and Billy Lowe, hairstylist and beauty expert based in Los Angeles, suggested taking in a picture and jotting down the words that you would use to describe the look.

'Talk about shape,' said celebrity stylist and bi-coastal salon owner Ted Gibson, 'if you feel like your stylist didn't understand, keep talking before you have your hair done.'

Women have also been told by celebrity hairdresser John Chapman , who spoke to Stuff.co.nz, that if they do keep their locks long and lovely, then they should be investing in a weekly treatment to ensure their natural hair dye shade stays put.  ADNFCR-2885-ID-800041177-ADNFCR
