Natural makeup debate: Can red eyes ever look good?

Natural makeup debate: Can red eyes ever look good?

Red natural makeup on the eyes can sometimes look so far from fashionable that it can actually result in people asking if you've been crying or have an infection, but one expert believes that is no longer the case.

Alison Caporimo, writing for Allure, has explained that times may be changing when it comes to red makeup and the likes of The Pretty Reckless singer Taylor Momsen are showing us how it's done.

'Momsen's style is definitely edgy – is this one more look that the average woman just couldn't pull off? Surprisingly, no,' she asserted, going on to say that red shadow can in fact be pretty.

Ms Caporimo suggested taking a peek at Dior's recent show for inspiration and hinted that there is a fine line between 'sexy and sickly' and it's all down to where you put the shadow – use black or brown to rim the eyes and only apply it to the outer edges.

However, if red isn't for you, according to Elle, the colours for autumn are camels, and this applies both to your wardrobe and to your natural makeup.ADNFCR-2885-ID-800041493-ADNFCR
