Blusher has been named as the natural makeup must-have for A/W 2010, not least because it was all over the recent catwalk shows, but also because it helps to 'recreate the first flushes of youth'.

Annabel Meggeson, writing for Stylist, has reported on the growing trend of flushed cheeks, which was recently showcased by the likes of Pat McGrath, Dick Page and Gordon Espinet, and while it's taken some time to come back on trend, it's now back with a bang.

'Blusher has the power to knock ten years off you, and it is just so happens that this season it's one of make-up's must-have trends,' she asserted.

However, choosing the right shade is important to creating a younger-looking you, and according to the beauty commentator, the best way to ascertain your ideal colours is by pinching your cheeks and mimicking the 'mini blood rush'.

The natural makeup tones that are the biggest hits include dark rose, deep pink and berry shades, but when it comes to the lips, forget the conventional shades of pinks and reds, the news source added that orange is the fruity shade for A/W.
