This season's natural makeup is pulling no punches. Forget the barely-there look - it's now all about creating a show stopper.

According to Stylist's Annabel Meggeson, rosy cheeks are set to be a big feature of this trend, which encompasses eyes, cheeks and hair, and the feverish look is part of this 'high-impact' look.

The theme is glamour and Bardot-inspired, and the key is to make your creation look as though it hasn't required too much effort – 'artfully played down' is the term.

So opt for rosy cheeks, which is the perfect way of creating high impact and has the added benefit of reviving a tired complexion and pair with lived-in lashes, for a sultry addition.
